Stage 10 West Algodres - Castelho Melhor
Village where you can start this stage: Almendra
This stage starts in the village of Algodres, proceeding towards west on the way to the Côa River and crossing olive-tree and almond-tree plantations and vineyards.
Then one skirts around the hilltop of Resenha and continues to the north, getting closer to the Côa where the Spring of Espinho is located. Here, the view towards the valley is specially noticeable. The Route carries on through agricultural tracks until the village of Almendra.
The village is cut across from south to north, and the church is revealed on the way. The next stop is the village of Castelo Melhor, to where one has to arrive from olive-tree and vineyard fields. Once in the village, one goes around the castle by its right side. The stage ends near the Reception Center of Castelo Melhor of the Archaeological Park of the Côa Valley, and you can ask, previously for a visit.
